Wireless Power, while not a new technology, is now emerging as a significant enabler for OEM companies. Following the standard driven by the Wireless Power Consortium, products can now remove connectors and cables for recharging internal batteries or powering mobile devices and take advantage of interoperability with products of different manufacturers.
AVID Technologies has been involved with wireless power development over the past seven years and has specific experience and expertise integrating the technology into products and making it work. As a key development partner of Fulton Innovation, AVID has created custom solutions for wireless power and charging and integrated them into many different devices such as cell phones, power tools, laptop computers, flashlights, cameras, kitchen appliances, and others. As a member of the Wireless Power Consortium, AVID is following new developments in the standard, as well as networking with companies that have contributing technology or are introducing new products incorporating wireless power.
AVID offers its design services to companies wishing to minimize the learning curve of the technology by leveraging from our experience and available reference designs. Our team of expert engineers, designers, and technicians are available to turn new product designs quickly and with high quality, minimizing time to market and risk of failure.
With significant understanding of the technology and its implementation to the standard, AVID also has taken the opportunity to offer the development tools we have created for our own use for sale to other developers and OEMs. These tools are extremely useful in helping analyze and debug wireless power designs which follow the WPC standard.
