Dear,
One of the requierement of the WPC standard is efficiency in front of different receiver antenna type (1A,1B,.....,1E).
My goal is to quantify the system efficiency using an external load fixing the received power @5W.
Is it realistic?
Can you advise which kind of antenna is used in the QI Rx simulator.
Is there a way to modify the Rx antenna ( obvioulsy capacitance have to be tuned)?

Thanks in advance.

SBconti.

SBconti,

Thanks for your interest in Avid’s Qi development products. The Rx Simulator uses a 27uH coil and is capable of delivering power to a fixed, 5W load for your efficiency characterization.

The Rx Simulator available today is configured for this specific coil; however, we are able to customize a Rx Simulator depending on your specific needs. Feel free to email us at wirelesspower@avid-tech.com to discuss your testing plan and requirements.

Is the Receiver Simulator suitable as a generation analyzer? What tests would it be able to perform?

William888, Can you explain what you mean by "generation analyzer"? You can find a list of the tests that can be performed by downloading the "Receiver Simulator Test List" from the Documents page on the forum.
